RARE Polizei ‘Gendarmerie’ crash helmet ‘Sturzhelm’ by Erel 1938

Description

Very rare and seldom seen brown police crash helmet for a member of the Gendarmerie. The helmet is in excellent and light worn condition and remains complete with liner, strap and ear protection. This lid is maker marked by the famous headgear factory of Erel and show similar construction to a Police Tschako. On the front of the helmet an aluminum police eagle is pierced through the helmet and show matching patina with the helmet. The helmet has a police acceptance mark on the reverse of the liner ‘PO’ and is dated 1938. A very desirable helmet in perfect, nearly unworn, condition!
