Worn M31 pattern German helmet liner in rough condition. Steel band, maker marked by Schubert-Werk K.-G. Braunschweig D.R.P and most likely dated 1940, but hard to read. The leather itself is made of pig skin and is complete with all tongues. Just one tongue has a ripped through draw string hole, all others remain intact. A part of the original draw string is also still present. The two split pins in the back are not holden the band together as good but once placed inside a helmet this is not an issue. This liner is intented for a 66 sized steel helmet with a head size 58.
