Army (Heer) general staff officer visor cap ‘Schirmmütze’

Description

Well worn late war constructed army officer cap with maroon piping for either a member of the general staff and/or a member of the veterinary corps. The visor has a original set of national insignia on the front, but they look replaced and shadows of previous bullion insignia are visible (this could of course be fixed very easily). The maker mark in the liner is nearly completely faded due use. Some small moth damages on the inner rims of the cap. Overall a good looking visor cap from a rare branch!
