Genuine and untouched M41 pattern Feldbluse for an army NCO. The jacket was period ‘upgraded’ or retailored to look like a M36 jacket by adding a bottle green collar and matching insignia, as this was more fashionable back than. The Feldbluse is complete with all of its period applied insignia. The jacket was upgraded to Unteroffizier at one point, by adding a silver tresse around the collar and putting artillery red piped M36 pattern collar tabs on the collar instead of the generic types. The eagle is hand applied, being an upgraded embroidered model that soldiers could purchase at that time. Interesting to see is the the infantry shoulder boards match this tunic as the tresse is identical to the one on the collar. The M36 pattern boards show nice aging and patina and are also red piped for artillery. An red artillery signal career ‘blitz’ is hand applied on the left sleeve. The liner of the tunic show light wear and the white ink size and factory markings are still partially visible. The rear of the jackets shows 5 larger moth holes, that could easily be covered using an Y-strap. Great untouched jacket with period applied insignia! I found this tunic a few weeks back in Germany, straight out of the woodwork!
