Luftwaffe commemorative Legion Condor cufftitle for officer

Rare and seldom seen uniform removed ‘Legion Condor’ cufftitle for a Luftwaffe officer. The Luftwaffe ‘Legion Condor’ Cufftitle (Ärmelband) was introduced on 12 June 1939. This cufftitle was to be worn by all members of the ‘Kampfgeschwader 53’, ‘Flak Regiment 9’ and the ‘Luftnachrichten Regiment 3’, in commemoration of those airmen who fought in the Condor Legion during the Spanish Civil War of 1936-39. This is a rare officer version, the blue wool construction cufftitle is showing the machine embroidered script ‘Legion Condor’ in silver bullion thread. The cufftitle has the typical opened back construction with the top and bottom edges folded over the reverse. The cufftitle is in good used but slightly shortened condition, the cufftitle measures approximately 37cms in length. Nice original cufftitle in good used condition!
