This is a very nice untouched and unmessed with M40 army steel helmet. Classic early E.T. produced helmet with a nice ET-style factory applied decal on the left side. The helmet shows a nice and uncleaned patina on the exterior. The liner is still supple and dusty and retains the genuine draw string. The leather is size marked 56 and the full lenght leather chin strap is maker marked and dated E.E.K. KOR41. Between the shell and liner band there is still a lot of dust and spiderwebs, therfor I’m unable to see the markings on the steel linerband. The split pins are all straight and tight, all maker marked IKA 41. The shell is marked on the side ET64 and in the rear 590. Great M40 helmet with a dusty ‘attic found’ look to it.
