A true combat veteran M35 helmet. Started as a M35 double decal army that was covered in white winter camouflage during the war, covering the national shield and leavingt the army decal open. After the winter, the white camouflage was covered again in thick green saw dust mixed paint. The helmet saw a lot of action from then on, showing the different layers of paint being used. The army decal still looks ok, since it was always left open. The liner is a replaced 1940 dated piece with an aluminum band. The leather is still soft and is in excellent light worn condition. The chin strap is a reproduction that looks really nice. A great looking M35 combat helmet, perfect for to display in any theatre of the war.
