These caps are hard to find, especially in this condition. Still very flexible (‘crushing’) example with hand sewn flat wire officer insignia. Red colored piping indicates this is an artillery example. These caps were intented for field use so you could easly fold them together when you needed to put a helmet on. Unfortunalty these caps where not mass produced and were fastly replaced with overseas for officers in 1940, that’s why these knautschmützes are so rare, this example was made in 1938. Good size +-57 and sharp colors!
